Clever name for a band, and a nice shout out to typography junkies. Hmmmm... what would Times New Roman would sound like.

Hancock Loves The Bank Gothic

Battlestar Gallactica, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, The Day After Tomorrow, Dulles Airport signage and now Hancock. Even more interesting is this "modern" typeface was created by Morris Fuller Benton over 70 years ago, way back in 1930. 

Versatile? Check.

Ban Comic Sans

Clearly, the font Comic Sans is getting WAY out of control. So much so, that there is a website devoted to eliminating this typeface from all visual media. I, too found the pervasiveness on Comic Sans less than comic. It's on Oreos now, people! Let's nip this threat in the bud.

McCain Steals New Look From Obama

John McCain's new site redesign incorporates a new look that could be described as, well, "Obamaish". Not only has he adopted a similar mantra, "A Leader We Can Believe In." to Obama's "Change We Can Believe In.", he's gone from the Vader Imperial Empire color pallate to the "Hey I'm Friendly and For Change, Too." pallate.

Previously, he used Optima Bold, but now he's using some font that doesn't translate very well on the web. My guess is, he's using a stroke on the letters.
